Empowering Lives Through Literacy
At the Lewis & Clark Literacy Council, we believe literacy is the key to unlocking potential and creating opportunities. For decades, we have been dedicated to improving lives through education and supporting our community with essential literacy programs.

Great food, great company, and an inspiring cause! 🌸📚
The Lewis & Clark Literacy Council is proud to serve our community by enhancing literacy skills. Our programs are completely free for students, but providing learning materials and managing the essential behind-the-scenes work comes with costs.
Your support makes a difference. Together, we can empower learners to create brighter futures. Let's spring forward together! 🌼✨
Personalized Tutoring
Individual learning support is tailored to each student's unique needs and goals, helping them build confidence and skills at their own pace.
ELL Classes
We provide comprehensive English language instruction for non-native speakers, focusing on practical communication skills for work, education, and daily life.
Book Pals
We connect readers with mentors to foster a love of reading, building literacy skills through enjoyable, relationship-based learning experiences.

“Frederick Douglass taught that literacy is the path from slavery to freedom. There are many kinds of slavery and many kinds of freedom, but reading is still the path.”
